The Unit participation in the Egmont Group meetings, July 2025
The Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Unit (AML/CFT Unit) - Jordan's Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) participated in the 2025 Egmont Group meetings in Luxembourg early this July. The participation of the Unit, a member of the Egmont Group since 2012, confirmed the Kingdom’s deep commitment to combating financial crimes, as the meeting provided a strategic opportunity to communicate and collaborate with international counterparts and strengthen partnerships in #InformationExchange, #PolicyDevelopment, #Training, and #BestPractices.
The meetings were generously hosted by the Financial Intelligence Unit in Luxembourg, which became a centre for financial intelligence during the six-day gathering — the EGMONT Plenary 2025 celebrated 30 years of cooperation among member Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs). Through more than 35 meetings, specialized workshops, and thematic sessions, participants explored the future of FIU coordination on AML/CFT efforts along with intense discussions, training, and collaboration reaffirmed the value of trust-based partnerships and a shared commitment to protecting the global financial system.
